AAHA Helping Pets Fund

www.aahahelpingpets.org
Since 1933, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has strived to meet the public’s needs for pet care by supporting companion animal veterinary practices through a variety of high-quality programs. In conjunction with these efforts, the AAHA Board of Directors established the AAHA Foundation in 1978 with a mission to improve the lives of pets. To fulfill its mission, the Foundation has provided funding for animal health studies that benefit companion animals and for disaster relief efforts that impact companion animals and the veterinary teams that serve them.
In 2005, the Foundation launched the AAHA Helping Pets Fund to help those in need access quality veterinary care. With this fund, veterinary care is possible for sick and injured pets, even when they have been abandoned or when their owners are experiencing financial hardship. With the AAHA Helping Pets Fund, the Foundation’s Trustees envision a future where companion animals receive needed veterinary treatment, regardless of their owners’ financial circumstances, and live longer, healthier lives.
