The Standards of Accreditation
utilize protocols for a range of patient care and practice management needs. The unique character of each practice requires that protocols be specific to each practice environment. A well-developed protocol describes a purpose or goal and a process for achieving that purpose or goal. The description is detailed, readily understood, and followed. It provides a timeframe for accomplishing key steps and describes where and how steps are performed. The protocol declares who in the practice is responsible for performance and who is responsible for oversight.
With this in mind, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is offering the following protocol samples in hopes that they are useful in the development of your own personalized protocols. In order to access these protocols, please login now.
