Web Conference Description:

Performing a nutritional assessment has recently been suggested as the 5th “vital” assessment (TPR, pain, nutrition). A nutritional screening can be done quickly to identify red flags or risks that would indicate more in-depth evaluation. This discussion will focus on practical tips for practicing clinical nutrition and using case examples to demonstrate applying the guidelines. Earn 1 hour of CE credit by participating in this web conference.

After participating in this 60-minute web conference, attendees will be better able to:
  • Incorporate the AAHA Nutritional Assessment Guidelines into your practice
  • Properly perform a nutritional assessment on your patients
  • Reclaim the role of nutrition counselor for your patients and recommend the best diet for their species and life stage
